About Me
Mike Peacock was born and bred in Manchester, where he originally trained as an actor. He spent many years working for a variety of different theatre companies, before forming his own, Rhema Theatre Company, in 2001. He has written & performed more than 40 different shows for the company, which have been enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of children all over the UK. He has also written & directed a number of short films, which have featured at a number of festivals and also been nominated for several awards. He wrote the children's book, ‘Boris The Robot’, with Dave Hill for the organisation Heartsmart, and his story ‘When We Stared Singing’ was recently produced & filmed by M6 Theatre Company. ‘Angels Delight’ was Mike’s first novel, closely followed by the sequel 'Angels Surprise'. There's also a 3rd book featuring the characters of Gabe, Mikey & Phin in the pipeline - more of that soon. Continuing the theme of stories featuring angel characters, Mike created the book 'The Party in Heaven' for younger readers. It was inspired by the loss of a young family friend and is designed to help children talk about grief through the lens of faith. Mike also has some other works in the pipeline which don't feature angels at all.
In 2023 Mike wrote and directed the feature film 'Silver Screen Dreams.'
In his spare time he likes to juggle, play the guitar and teach Ju-Jitsu - although not always at the same time.
